Description
A rare item has arrived: a Berkeley performance from “The Breaking Point Tour,” which started in February 1983, recorded in excellent mono soundboard quality! This rare item features a live performance from “The Breaking Point Tour,” held on February 12, 1983, at the Keystone Berkeley, a small club in Berkeley, California, during the release of his seventh solo album, “Zombie Birdhouse,” which was released on the label of Blondie bassist Chris Stein after his major label contract expired. The recording appears to be a mono recording taken directly from the mixing board, but it is remarkably clear, and the rough mix enhances the rawness, allowing you to enjoy the power and impact of the sound! The performance in Baton Rouge the following day can be heard on the official release “Where The Face Shine vol.2,” but this release includes “Ordinary Bummer,” and the encores “Louie Louie,” “Hang On Sloopy,” and “Hassles,” which were not heard at the Baton Rouge performance. Blondie’s guitarist Frank Infante, former Criminals member Michael Page, and others, along with The Untouchables, who accompanied them on the previous year’s “Zombie Birdhouse Tour” and their Japan tour that same year, delivered a superb performance with a setlist featuring tracks from the previous year’s “Zombie Birdhouse,” keeping the audience excited from start to finish, all while enjoying the powerful sound!
