In tribute to the passing of KISS’s original guitarist, Ace Frehley, in October 2025, here is the 10th installment of the ultimate compilation video, Part 1, featuring 1 hour and 43 minutes of rare footage from the time of the 1982 album “CREATURES OF THE NIGHT,” all in the best master quality. This is the 10th installment of the rare series “KISSTORY,” compiled by overseas KISS researchers using the latest equipment to select and edit a vast amount of video material. This time, it brings together various rare videos related to “CREATURES OF THE NIGHT,” the final stage of the band’s makeup era, including TV appearances and live performances, in a nearly chronological order. The biggest point of this period is Ace’s departure and Vinnie Vincent’s arrival. In fact, Ace did not participate in the album’s recording and had already effectively left the band by the time of its release. However, Vinnie’s official加入 was announced in December 1982, and the footage included in this title is from a transitional period when Ace was still considered a member. The video begins with footage related to the music video for the single “I Love It Loud,” which also features Ace shortly before his departure. Following that, it includes a completely unedited 70-minute master of the “MTV Press Conference” accompanying the album release, a Swedish TV interview, and Ace’s final performance, meticulously documenting the last few months of Ace’s time as an official member.
