This release features a full 2-hour and 44-minute recording of the February 26th show at EX THEATER ROPPONGI in Tokyo, the second of five performances from the 2026 Japan tour, which finally came to fruition as part of Mike Portnoy’s “40th Anniversary Tour” since his return. The setlist was not the same as the previous day’s show at Budokan, but completely different. Like the previous day, it was divided into two parts, but the first part was a career-spanning set that seemed to condense the 40th anniversary, with songs performed randomly as in a normal concert, but also including “Take the Time” and “Panic Attack.” Then, in the second part, “PARASOMNIA,” while the other four shows, including the one at Budokan, featured six songs, this day’s performance was the complete version, including “A Broken Man” and “Dead Asleep,” and moreover, it was a perfect reproduction of the album’s track order. In addition, the encore was a complete reproduction of the suite “A Change of Seasons” lasting approximately 28 minutes, making it a truly special set only available on this day. All in all, including the opportunity to experience a complete reproduction of the new album released after Portnoy’s return, this is a must-have memorial item for fans, available only during this Japan tour.
