This release features a full recording from the February 28th show at I-Plaza Toyohashi, the third of five shows in the 2026 Japan tour, which finally came to fruition as part of Mike Portnoy’s “40th Anniversary Tour” since his return. The recording was made available from a high-quality audience master released by the taper. The setlist for this show was the same as the opening night at Budokan, and the two-part concert consisted of two parts: the first part was a career-spanning set centered around representative numbers from “METROPOLIS PT. 2: SCENES FROM A MEMORY,” and the second part featured six songs from the previous year’s release “PARASOMNIA” and the epic “Octavarium,” with the encore ending with the catchy “The Spirit Carries On” and “Pull Me Under.” Furthermore, the official live album of the same tour released the previous year, “QUARANTIEME: LIVE A PARIS,” did not include 10 songs in total: 6 from “PARASOMNIA,” plus “Through My Words,” “Fatal Tragedy,” “The Enemy Inside,” and “Peruvian Skies.” Therefore, a major highlight is being able to enjoy their latest performance in Japan. In addition, as a bonus, a portion of the soundcheck from that day has been added, recorded from the in-ear monitors in official quality. With a total running time of 2 hours and 52 minutes, including about 10 minutes of soundcheck and jamming, this is a must-have memorial item for fans, exclusive to this Japan tour.
