Description
This recording captures a live performance from Kansas City on February 11, 1984, during the band’s North American tour, a tour made particularly valuable by Carmine Appice’s participation. The recording comes from a soundboard master leaked by someone involved in the production. This is a direct line recording from the mixing console, recently released by staff at the time. While it lacks the live atmosphere, the direct transmission from the vocals to the band’s sound is incredibly realistic. Furthermore, Carmine Appice, who temporarily replaced Tommy Aldridge, only participated in this North American tour and the subsequent European tour, so naturally, surviving recordings are limited. Aside from three songs from “Howling at the Moon,” many songs from the Randy Rhoads era are performed, making this a must-have for fans as a valuable historical record.
