Description
This release features a complete recording from the August 26th show in East Troy, Wisconsin, which was his very last live performance before his death, as part of the “Power and Passion” US tour, his final tour leading Double Trouble in 1990 following the release of “In Step.” The recording was sourced from a remarkably good audience master for its time. The tour spanned 136 shows from the previous year to this year, with performances where he co-headlined with Jeff Beck and Joe Cocker, titled “The Fire Meets the Fury” and “Power and Passion,” respectively, each featuring a different setlist. This recording captures the final solo performance, featuring a setlist that summarizes his career, including representative numbers and covers. The show ends with “Crossfire” from his final album, “In Step,” making it particularly poignant. Given that he tragically passed away shortly after this performance, this is a must-have memorial item for fans. Live at Alpine Valley Music Theater, East Troy, Wisconsin, USA August 26th 1990 1.
