This new item features two separate FM broadcast sources of a high-quality stereo soundboard recording of the Argentina performance from the tour following the release of “THE RAPTURE” in 1995! Approximately four months after the release of “THE RAPTURE,” their 11th and final studio album, in 1995, this new item features two separate FM broadcast sources of a high-quality stereo soundboard recording of the live performance at the Estadio Obraz Sanitarias, an indoor arena in Buenos Aires, Argentina with a capacity of 4700 people. The recordings were taken from aircheck cassettes broadcast on local FM stations. One source includes more songs but inserts DJ talk, while the other has fewer songs and no DJ talk, but includes two songs not included in the other source, “Trust In Me” and “Peek A Boo.” These two sources have been remastered and combined to include all the songs performed that day except for the final song, “Israel.” The DJ-infused source has a few seconds missing from the intro of “O Baby” and the middle of “Kiss Them For Me,” but these have been filled in using another source. Furthermore, pitch discrepancies due to the master recording have been carefully corrected. The setlist features eight tracks from their then-latest album, “THE RAPTURE,” produced by John Cale, including the opening track “The Double Life” and their last single, “Stargazer.” It also includes “The Killing Jar,” a single from “PEEPSHOW,” the 1983 single and Beatles cover “Dear Prudence,” and of course, early numbers like “Christine” and “Cities In Dust.” You can fully enjoy the superb performance of the Bangees, featuring guitarist John Crane (who joined in 1987) and Martin McCarrick (also joined in 1987, playing keyboards, cello, and guitar), all in crystal-clear sound quality!
