This popular title, a complete recording of their 1987 Roskilde Festival performance in excellent stereo audience recording quality, has been upgraded with a new transfer from the master tape for even clearer sound quality! The previously released “ROSKILDE FESTIVAL 87′” from the same label, which captured their performance at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark on July 3, 1987, during their European tour following the release of their eighth album, “Blah Blah Blah,” in excellent stereo audience recording quality, has been newly digitally transferred from the master cassette, resulting in an upgraded, clearer sound quality! The vocals and all other parts are well-balanced, and the sound quality is considered top-class for its time. While there are some unstable acoustics in the venue during the opening track, “I Got A Right,” the sound is stable from the second track onwards. This tour featured a change in bassist from the lineup up to the Japan tour in April of the same year, with Barry Adamson taking over immediately after leaving Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds. From the opening, you can enjoy a fantastic performance with a barrage of Stooges numbers! The setlist includes songs from “Blah Bluh Bluh,” and unlike the hard rock-oriented sound of the following year’s tour, it features Seamus Begen’s keyboards that seem to soar through the air, and the overall arrangement is faster-paced. It’s a short set because it was a festival, but you can fully enjoy it with clearer sound quality right up to the encore of “T.V. Eye”!
