Van Halen / Venezuela 1983 TV Broadcast Edition

This release couples footage from the January 15th Caracas, Venezuela concert of the “HIDE YOUR SHEEP Tour,” the South American leg following the 1983 release of “DIVER DOWN,” using pro-shot footage from two versions of the TV broadcast master. Disc 1 is a 69-minute extended version containing the broadcast footage as is, while Disc 2, although missing the first 15 minutes, is recorded from a different master with brighter and more colorful footage, making it rare footage that has only recently been released. The set, which includes three songs from “DIVER DOWN,” can be considered their best set at that time, and as it was their first South American performance, the band was high-energy throughout. Dave, in particular, was truly Diamond Dave, jumping and dancing wildly across the stage, and this is a superb piece that allows you to fully enjoy his wild and crazy performance. Disc 1 : 1.
