Description
This release features two California shows, September 15th in Fresno and September 20th in San Bernardino, from the North American tour immediately preceding the release of “Fushichou” (Immortal Butterfly), both of which were recorded using stereo soundboard masters recently leaked by insiders. While this recording, made directly from the mixing desk, contains some missing parts and slightly lacks the live feel, the sound balance is perfectly balanced, delivering a powerful sound that surpasses the edited and processed official live albums. Also noteworthy is the fact that the second Japan tour, which followed this tour in December, is almost identical to that tour, and the tracklist is delightfully similar. The opening medley and core “Abraxas” numbers are reminiscent of the previous year’s Japan concert, “Lotus,” while the middle and subsequent shows incorporate new material from “Fushichou” (Immortal Butterfly). This release captures the band’s intense performance just before they reached their peak, with quality on a par with official bootlegs. disc 1 : 1. Going Home/2. A-1 Funk/3. Every Step Of The Way/4.
