This release features the full recording of the March 8th Madison concert from Ozzy Osbourne’s 1984 US tour, with Motley as the opening act. The set features both bands, recorded in full from the audience master, a quality unmatched at the time. Disc 1 begins with Motley, who released two albums and were just about to break out. It features three tracks from “The Great Passion” and five from “Shout at the Devil,” a truly early set. Ozzy Osbourne, meanwhile, was in the midst of a period of intense lineup changes after Jake joined the band the previous year. Aside from the three tracks from “Howl at the Moon,” the set features many Randy-era tracks, complemented by Sabbath’s “Iron Man” and “Paranoid,” another unique take from the period. Incidentally, this US tour was followed by an eight-date Japan tour, which is almost identical to the original, so fans should definitely check it out.
