Description
The “CRAZY NIGHTS” era was a platinum hit and a treasure trove of rare songs. Introducing a soundboard album that will immerse you in the live performances. This work permanently preserves the “January 30, 1988 Rochester Performance.” This is a stereo soundboard recording. We archive as many masterpieces as possible throughout KISS’s history, and the “CRAZY NIGHTS Tour” is no exception. First, let’s organize our collection and take a bird’s-eye view of their activities at the time. 1987 (“CRAZY NIGHTS” released on September 21st) November 13th – December 31st: North America # 1 (31 performances) ← * PHILADELPHIA 1987 1988 January 1st – April 2nd: North America # 2 (66 performances) ← ★ Here ★ April 16th – 24th: Japan (5 performances) ← * BUDOKAN 1988 etc. July 4th: Swansea performances August 12th + 13th: New York (2 performances) ← * RITZ 1988 2ND NIGHT August 16th – October 4th: Europe (23 performances) ← * MOR 1988 etc. A complete soundboard unearthed through a unique related route This is KISS from 1987 / 1988. We recently introduced the shocking new album “YOYOGI OLYMPIC POOL 1988. SOUNDBOARD,” but this Rochester performance was about three months earlier. It was the 23rd performance of “North America #2.” As you can see above, “North America #1” and “North America #2” were a series of legs spanning the New Year holidays, and this show was near the halfway point. Such shows are also known for their classic soundboards, and this work is their highest peak update. As usual, this is a new master of the best quality, brought to us through our own dedicated channels, but what’s even more important is the length. This is a complete full-show soundboard, different from the traditional incomplete version! However, it’s not a single master run. It appears that the missing parts of “Reason To Live,” “Heaven’s On Fire,” and the encore “Detroit Rock City” have been supplemented with a separate source. This was not connected by our shop, but was the style at the time of excavation. That said, this supplementary source is undoubtedly a superb soundboard, not an audience. While the feel may change slightly, the thrill of enjoying the entire show, including previously missing parts, on a soundboard is priceless. This is a full live album from the CRAZY NIGHTS Tour, featuring rare tracks. And what’s depicted in this complete form is the full show from the CRAZY NIGHTS Tour, featuring rare tracks. Let’s organize it by comparing it with the iconic pro shot, “PHILADELPHIA 1987 MASTER VIDEO.” CRAZY NIGHTS (3 songs): Bang Bang You (★★), Crazy Crazy Nights, Reason To Live (★★), Others (5 songs + 5 songs): 70s: Love Gun, Cold Gin, Shout It Out Loud (*), Rock And Roll All Nite, Detroit Rock City; 80s: Fits Like A Glove (★), War Machine, Heaven’s On Fire, I Love It Loud, Lick It Up. Note: “★” indicates songs not performed after the remake. In particular, the “★★” mark indicates songs exclusive to this tour. The “*” mark indicates songs not heard on the classic pro-shot “PHILADELPHIA 1987 MASTER VIDEO.” …and so on. As mentioned above, “North America #1-2” was a series of legs, but minor changes were made along the way. It also features “Shout It Out Loud,” not included on “PHILADELPHIA 1987 MASTER VIDEO.” And then there are the “CRAZY NIGHTS” numbers. The album reached #18 in the US for the first time since “DYNASTY,” but none of the songs became live staples. In particular, “Bang Bang You” and “Reason To Live” are exclusive tracks that were not performed after this tour. Not only is this album of the highest quality, but it’s also a soundboard album directly connected to the mix table, evolving into a full show through complementation. An absolute must-have in any valuable “CRAZY NIGHTS Tour” collection. A stereo soundboard recording of the “January 30, 1988 Rochester performance.” This is a master of the leaked material unearthed through our own route, and is a complete version of all the songs in the full show, different from the conventional incomplete version. This is a rising star of a full live album that allows you to enjoy the valuable “CRAZY NIGHTS Tour”, including “Bang Bang You” and “Reason To Live” that are only available on this tour.
