Description

This compilation features rare live recordings from P-Funk’s heyday, around the time they became Parliament-Funkadelic and the P-Funk All-Stars. First up are three tracks from a January 23, 1977 San Diego show, where you’ll be glad to hear Glenn Goines’s voice on “Do That Stuff.” Then, although the exact date is unknown, there’s Children of Production from the Oakland Coliseum, which likely serves as an outtake from the Earth Tour live album. Finally, there’s a performance of Mothership Connection and Flash Light from a show at the Monroe Civic Center on April 15, 1978. These are from the same day as the performance of “Maggot Brain” featured on One Nation Under a Groove. Finally, there’s a 1981 Dayton show, which includes two tracks not featured on the following releases: Parliament-Funkadelic / Hara Arena 1. Let’s Take It To The Stage 2. Do That Stuff 3. Undico Kid San Diego Arena, San Diego, CA, January 23, 1977 4. Children Of Production Oakland Coliseum, Oakland, CA, January 1977 5. Mothership Connection 6. Flash Light Monroe Civic Center, Monroe, LA, CA, April 15, 1978 7. Atomic Dog 8. Maceo, Not Charlie Hara Arena, Dayton, Ohio, 1981
