This newly discovered stereo soundboard recording captures the December 1st performance in Hartford, North America, from the “THE MAMA Tour” accompanying the 1983 release of “GENESIS.” This first-of-its-kind recording, also released extensively in recent years, is a direct recording from the mix master, also leaked by insiders. The unprocessed sound is incredibly realistic, clearly reproducing even the subtle nuances of the band ensemble. It perfectly recreates the day’s performance over the course of 2 hours and 29 minutes. While the official “THE MAMA TOUR” footage also exists, this one is 47 minutes longer than the 1 hour and 42 minute version, and boasts a significantly larger track count. The eight tracks not included on the official releases, including a highlights medley, make this a must-listen for anyone wanting to get a full view of the tour.
