Description

We present you with a masterpiece video that will be the “third to last performance of European Tour #1”. If you suddenly say “the third to last performance”, you probably won’t understand, so let’s take a look at the tour overview again here. 《STRANGER IN US ALL released》・September 30th – November 4th 1995: European tour #1 (25 shows) ←★HERE★・November 11th – 23rd 1995: Japan tour (9 shows)《7 months off》・June 27th – July 7th 1996: South American tour (8 shows)・July 21st – August 11th 1996: European tour #2 (13 shows)《Chuck Burge leaves the band → John Miceli joins》・February 20th – March 19th 1997: North American tour (18 shows)・May 31st 1997: Denmark performance (final show)《RAINBOW disbands → BLACKMORE’S NIGHT starts》In this way, the “STRANGER IN US ALL TOUR” had two European tours, “#1 (1995)” and “#2 (1996).” The 2CD is the final edition of “#2”, and this work is the final edition of “#1”. You may think that it’s a “somehow unreasonable reason…”, and it is true (bitter smile), but even if you ignore such a quibble, there are three reasons why I chose this work. First of all, quality. It is a master that was once released normally, but the angle taken from the second floor of the stage is correct and has zero obstacles. Looking straight at the stage from far above the heads of the first floor arena customers, it is a wonderful view that “nothing can be seen except RAINBOW”. I don’t know if it is using a tripod, but the stability is excellent and it is very easy to see. There is some noise from the analog tape, but the color development is wonderful, and when you zoom in, a beautiful view spreads out like a TV broadcast at that time. Of course, the sound is also excellent, suitable for a view with zero obstructions. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for a live album because the encore is not recorded, but the sound of each instrument is so clear that you want to press it with just the audio. And the second reason is the set list. The 2CD “European Tour #2” had a unique mood of “100 minutes of encore”, but this work is the “new RAINBOW standard” immediately after the new formation started. Of course, the pole position is “Spotlight Kid”, and there are plenty of new songs such as “Too Late For Tears”, “Hunting Humans”, and “Hall Of The Mountain King” that can’t be heard on the 2CD. It’s a coupling that complements each other. The third and freshest is the mood of the show. The 2CD also had a unique mood, but in addition to the freshness of the new band, this work is brilliant in the good mood of Richie, who returned to the leader after a long time. I played it comfortably throughout the whole work, but what is especially rare is after the end of “Hunting Humans”. Richie took out a long stick that he had prepared on the side of the stage, and while using it to grab drinks that were on the speakers, he served them to the audience in front one after another (Dougie and the band improvised “Drinkin’ in the background). What a happy atmosphere. It was so peaceful that I couldn’t believe my eyes that it was BLACKMORE’S NIGHT, but the music was intense hard rock. It was a sight that was unique to “STRANGER IN US ALL TOUR”, and it was only in the early days when the enthusiasm was unstoppable. This work is a standard show with a dazzling breath of a new band, while the 2CDs are a unique set that prevents monotony and allows you to enjoy “100 minutes of encores”. Both are two performances that show different expressions while being full of the fulfillment of having trampled on Europe, the largest voting base. A luxurious set that allows you to carve the whole picture of “STRANGER IN US ALL TOUR” into your heart with the best sound and sight. Please take advantage of this opportunity and enjoy it to the fullest! Live at Forest National, Brussels, Belgium 1st November 1995 AMAZING-SHOT!! 1. Over The Rainbow 2. Spotlight Kid 3.
