We call it Vienna, but you pronounce it Vienna.” However, it has also become known as a recording with poor sound. Only one type of audience recording was discovered, and “Keep Yourself Alive”, which should have been recorded full of hiss, was also cut. Well, I was just grateful to be able to listen to it… In 2007, that long-held image was turned upside down. A master with completely different quality was discovered. In fact, the recording itself of the new master was the same, but the sound was completely different. The sound generated from the 2nd Gene Master (the original master was apparently lost in a flood disaster) is several steps clearer, and there is no harsh hiss. “Keep Yourself Alive”, which had been cut, was also left in its entirety. Collectors are particular about the difference in generation, but even such enthusiasts were surprised by the master saying, “Just a different generation can make such a difference!” The 2nd Gene Master was loved by “VIENNA WALTZ”, but this work has been further refined with careful mastering. Of course, the upgrade was not just for the sake of increasing sound pressure. The point is the sense of separation. In fact, even though the original sound was clearer, it sounded a little dull. Even if there was no problem during quiet parts, when rocking hard like “Brighton Rock”, all the instruments became confused and clumped together. Therefore, in this work, such ensembles are broken down and organized by range. Even in songs that are pushed hard, the beat and melody are clearly separated, and you can really feel the presence of the four members. I would like to remind you that I do not misunderstand, but this master is a masterpiece from the beginning. It is not an ordinary audience recording because it was pressed from the Wardour label at the same time as the excavation. The famous recording has been made even easier to listen to, and the sound has been made closer to the actual sound. I think this fact alone will help you understand the greatness of this work. The revived sound is even more enjoyable because it is “NEWS OF THE WORLD TOUR”. After all, this was a period of development for QUEEN, where they grew rapidly with each tour. Their passion is passionate, and the ensemble is dynamic and overflowing with a sense of hard drive. Hard songs erupt with explosive force, and even mellow songs are crisp and powerful.
