Description
“Summer Sonic 2014” was QUEEN + Adam Lambert’s first visit to Japan and their only official work. The super-excellent video that will be the 100% trial version of the original version will be released. What is included in this work is, of course, the “August 17, 2014: Chiba Marine Stadium” performance. This is the best audience shot. We can’t wait for their third visit to Japan, scheduled for January 2020, but let’s take a look at their Japanese performances and understand the show’s position within them. ●August 16, 2014: SUMMER SONIC OSAKA・August 17: SUMMER SONIC TOKYO [This work] ●September 21-23, 2016: Nippon Budokan (3 performances) ●January 25, 2020 Sunday + 26th: Saitama Super Arena, January 28th: Kyocera Dome Osaka, January 30th: Nagoya Dome, and so on. QUEEN + Adam started touring in 2012, but at that time there were only 6 performances in Europe. Their first world tour was in 2014, and they visited Japan early on. Of course, their first visit to Japan became a hot topic, and countless audience records began to emerge immediately after the show. This work is the pinnacle of that. The quality is truly amazing. It is not a one-shot video, but a reproduction of the full show with different shots for each song (outtakes from different angles for 4 songs are also included as a bonus). For that reason, I can’t say “the angle is ○○” or “the distance is △△”, but each video is exquisite because it has been carefully selected. From the seats close to the arena, you can get a direct shot with the power of a professional shot, and in the distance, you can see the light show and the spectacle of the huge “Q” screen. Of course, the images that would cause you to be bothered by the shadows in the front row were not selected, and you can enjoy the full show from every seat. What enhances this scene is the sound. While the sight changes in various ways, the audio is a recording of one step of penetration. It is also the best recording of the day, and the clear sense of air and direct feeling of the core are exquisite. This direct feeling is important. In the case of videos where the scene changes, if the audio is far away or the angle is lopsided, it will create a sense of discomfort. However, the sound of this work is so intense that you can’t tell where it was recorded, so it fits any perspective. Although it is difficult to say that it is “just like a professional shot” because there is actually an official work, its worth seeing and listening is on a different level from the ordinary audience shots. And above all, the experience. Of course, the official pro shot is wonderful as a music video, but its perspective is on a different level from what you witness at the venue. However, this work is a series of real audience perspectives (although it changes from song to song). I can’t wait for the third performance in Japan to be held in January 2020, but I wonder what kind of scene I will be able to see at the scene…This work is a piece that stirs up that imagination with the highest quality. The content of the show is the same as the official pro shot “LIVE IN JAPAN”, so I won’t go into details, but this work is a video work that allows you to experience that wonderful show as if it were on site. At that time, the official work appeared later. Although its original role has ended, the brilliance of its overflowing sense of the field has not been lost. Even if the professional shots of “LIVE AID” remain, it is the same as the reproduction movie version and audience recording that give a different impression. It’s the perfect video to reflect on your upcoming visit to Japan in six months, but at the same time, it’s also a moving piece that captures the feeling of QUEEN + Adam’s first visit to Japan, which was wonderful.
