Description
A report on the 2022 revival of “The Rhapsody Tour”, which has also been well received with “MANCHESTER 2022” and “GLASGOW 2022”. The third installment, a big 4-disc set, is now available. This work is recorded with two performances at the same venue. This is a superb audience recording of the “London O2 Arena performance on June 6th and 9th, 2022”. The concept of “same venue set by the same recorder” is the same as the previous two works, but unlike Manchester and Glasgow, which had a total of two performances each, a huge concert of 11 performances was held in London. On which day was this work recorded? Let’s check the position on the schedule along with the previous two works. Adam’s solo April 28th – May 6th: North America (6 shows) QUEEN + Adam May 27th + 28th: Belfast (2 shows) May 30th “MANCHESTER 2022 (DISC 1-2)” May 31st “MANCHESTER 2022 (DISC 3-4)” June 2nd “GLASGOW 2022 (DISC 1-2)” June 3rd “GLASGOW 2022 (DISC 3-4)” June 4th: Platinum Jubilee appearance June 5th: London O2 show June 6th: London O2 show ←★This work DISC 1-2★ June 8th: London O2 show June 9th: London O2 show ←★This work DISC 3-4, June 11th + 12th: Birmingham (2 performances), June 14th-21st: London (6 performances), June 24th-July 25th: Europe (18 performances)This is the 2022 schedule that has been announced so far. Their London performances started with the Queen Elizabeth 70th Anniversary Concert “Platinum Jubilee”, and consisted of “4 performances + 6 performances at the O2 Arena” with two performances in Birmingham in between. This work was the second and fourth concert in the first half. This work, which vacuum-packs these two performances, is a neat and dynamic recording that is similar to the previous two works. In fact, it is only natural that it is. All three works (6 performances) this time are also works by the same recorder. Of course, even if the recorder/equipment is the same, the venue and position are different. Therefore, even if the sound direction is similar, the taste is slightly different from one performance to the next. So how is it different? While “MANCHESTER 2022” was a sound that specialized in “sound dynamism” and “GLASGOW 2022” was a sound that specialized in “piercing clarity,” this work is a masterpiece of “on direct feeling.” The vocals are particularly wonderful. This density is packed to the brim, and it can be heard almost only on the sound board. To be precise, the performance sound has a (slight) hall sound, and the cheers that spread far and wide are real (the big chorus unique to the home country is also a goosebump-level moving thing). In that sense, you can also enjoy the dynamism of “MANCHESTER 2022,” but Adam’s vocals on top of it are unusually tight. No, not only Adam’s but also Brian and Roger’s singing voices are ruthlessly clear and direct, and the chorus work is intertwined but not mixed, and the sense of separation is enormous. While immersed in it, it is such a magnificent and superb sound that you forget the fact that it is an audience recording. Such a beautiful soundboard recording depicts the two full performances of the latest “The Rhapsody Tour”. The set contents are the same as the previous two works, so let’s just organize them. 70’s (15 songs) Sheer Heart Attack: Now I’m Here/Killer Queen/In The Lap of the Gods… Revisited A Night at the Opera: I’m In Love With My Car/Love of My Life/’39/Bohemian Rhapsody Jazz: Don’t Stop Me Now/Bicycle Race/Fat Bottomed Girls (★) Other: Seven Seas of Rhye/Somebody To Love/Tie Your Mother Down/We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions 80’s and later (12 songs) The Works: Tear It Up (★)/Hammer to Fall/I Want To Break Free/Radio Ga Ga Other: Another One Bites the Dust/Crazy Little Thing Called Love/Under Pressure/A Kind Of Magic (★)/Who Wants To Live Forever/I Want It All/These Are the Days of Our Lives (★)/The Show Must Go On *Note: The “★” mark indicates songs that were not performed at the 2020 Japan tour. This is the latest in the same recording artist collection following “MANCHESTER 2022” and “GLASGOW 2022”, and is the final four-disc set of the series. Compared to the previous two works that could be declared “Manchester Complete” and “Glasgow Complete”, this work is somewhat lacking in decisiveness as it is only two performances out of 11 performances. Therefore, the release of this work was not initially planned. However, that was just an image. The sound that actually arrived was undoubtedly the best masterpiece of the series. The real star appears at the end. A four-disc set that embodies such a theory that is too good to be true. A superb audience recording of the “London O2 Arena performance on June 6th + 9th, 2022”. The third and final installment of the same recording artist collection, which is very popular, “MANCHESTER 2022” and “GLASGOW 2022”. This work is the best sound, and the direct feeling is tremendous. The vocals are particularly wonderful, not only beautiful but also packed with density, almost sounding like a soundboard. This is a four-disc set that embodies the theory that “the real deal comes last.” The O2 Arena, London, UK 6th & 9th June 2022 TRULY PERFECT SOUND (The best of the UK tour) The O2 Arena, London, UK 6th June 2022 (2nd Night) Disc 1 (74:04) 1.
