The band, which became one of the most important groups in the UK new wave pop scene with Chrissie Hynde at the center, performed at the New York Palladium on March 30, 1980, during their first US tour. This performance was recorded on a perfect stereo soundboard from the radio on-air master at the time. At the time, the band was already performing hit tunes such as “My Dear Kids,” “Talk of the Town,” and “Brass in the Pocket,” and the band’s performance was full of the energy of their debut.
