Description
“SAPPORO 1972: DIRECT REEL MASTER” recorded the Floyd Sapporo performance on March 13, 1972 with the highest sound quality ever. Two songs from the latter half of the show, “Echoes” and “Atom Heart Mother,” which were uncollected, are recorded as high-quality audience recordings from Difmaster. “Echoes” was distributed under the title “The Cold Side Of The Bow” in the past and is recorded from the version, and “Echoes” in Sapporo can only be heard in this take. This album is a remaster of the take recorded on “SAPPORO 1972”, and is recorded with a more natural tone than “The Cold Side Of The Bow”, which was recorded with a crisp and clear sound. It is characterized by “Atom Heart Mother” is a chronological compilation of extremely rare takes from the 1972 Japan tour released in 2009, “MISSING PIECES: JAPAN TOUR 1972 (Sigma 34, out of print).” Remastered take. Until now, Sapporo’s “Atom Heart Mother” has not been confirmed other than this take. The sound quality itself is lower than this release of “SAPPORO 1972: DIRECT REEL MASTER”, but since both are one-and-only takes and cannot be heard on other masters, the main CD is compared to two different sound sources. I hope you enjoy it as a complementary piece. Live at Nakajima Sports Center, Sapporo, Japan 13th March 1972 (44:41) 1. Echoes 2. Atom Heart Mother
