From the US tour accompanying the release of the album “Flames” in 1975, the Detroit performance on June 24th appeared as a superb audience recording. There were two very excellent sound sources on this day, and this disc contains both versions. The version recorded on (Disc 1) & (Disc 2) contains almost the entire concert, from Roger’s MC at the opening, “OK Detroit, don’t worry about a thing”, to the encore “Echoes”, but unfortunately “You’ve Got To Be Crazy” is only recorded for about 5 minutes. (Disc 3) contains another sound source, but this one only contains the first half (first part) of the concert. This disc transplants the cut part of “Got To Be Crazy” from (Disc 1) from [4:09-12:47] from (Disc 3) and prepares the appearance of a complete recording. The sound quality of both sound sources is so high that it is difficult to choose between them. The sound sources of (Disc 1) & (Disc 2) are not perfect, such as the aforementioned cut of “Got To Be Crazy” and the analog noise caused by the master at [2:33] of “Shine On You Crazy Diamond”, but the sound quality is very clear and of high quality. The second part, “Madness”, is also recorded with a good sound with a punch. The cuts of “The Great Gig In The Sky” [5:43] and “Any Colour You Like” [5:04] caused by the original and the tape flip noise are unfortunate, but apart from some hiss problems, it is almost perfectly recorded. As mentioned above, the sound source of (Disc 3) is only about 55 minutes of the first part, but the sound quality itself is recorded with a superb sound quality that is thicker and more stable than the (Disc 1) & (Disc 2) takes, and it is a perfect listening experience.
