From the “British Winter Tour” held in the UK from November to December 1974, the Stoke, Staffordshire performance on November 19th was recorded with high-quality audience recording. The first half is from the famous original analog boot, and the second half is from a master-level audience recording, achieving almost a complete recording of the show, and both takes have excellent sound quality worthy of an Excellent rating. The original boot LP (PFL7501) is in excellent condition with almost no needle cracks, and is played on a high-quality player to reproduce the famous legendary “British Winter Tour 74” with the best sound. (The sound quality is completely superior to the already released CD.) The analog recordings include Raving & Drooling, You Gotta Be Crazy, the prototype of Sheep, Dog, and the unfinished Shine On You Crazy Diamond. This analog bootleg, released before the release of both “Flame” and “Animals,” recorded explosive sales, and it is said that many enthusiastic Floyd enthusiasts at the time imagined the next new work by listening to this analog. The second half of the show, “The Dark Side of the Moon” and “Echoes,” use extremely rare master takes discovered in recent years, and although there are partial cuts at The Great Gig In The Sky, they are recorded with truly amazing sound quality, recreating the concert of that day in the best possible form. “The Dark Side of the Moon,” played at a slightly slower speed, and the large song “Echoes,” a heavy and dull performance that evokes the cold air of England, are unique to this time of year!
