Description

Two of Maiden’s rarest live albums will be released at the same time, with over 40 years since their debut and over 2000 live performances. This work is the first “December 19, 1985 Marquee Club performance”. This is a superb audience recording that conveys the only show of the side project “THE WHOLE POPULATION OF HACKNEY” formed by Adrian Smith and Nico McBrain. [A catchy project that became the prototype for ASaP] “THE WHOLE POPULATION OF HACKNEY (also known as THE SHERMAN TANKERS)” was a project that also had an influence on Honke Maiden. The origins of the band were to kill time after the “WORLD SLAVERY TOUR”, with Adrian and Nico as the core, along with Adrian’s friends from FM (Dave Colwell & Andy Barnett) and Martin Connolly (MARSHALL FURY). was formed. Of course, it was just a fun project for Maiden to enjoy in her spare time, but she also wrote songs that were included in Maiden’s single, and the collaboration with Colwell & Barnett later evolved into ASaP (Adrian Smith and Project). I went on. “THE WHOLE POPULATION OF HACKNEY” will also hold a one-time secret live. MAIDEN members including Steve Harris also participated. This work is a vacuum-packed audience recording of such a unique and extremely rare stage. It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime live album, but this work is also its highest peak. In fact, the recording was known among core enthusiasts as it was an extremely rare stage, but the person who made the legendary recording was the world master “Crazy S.”. This work is the ultimate version digitized directly from the original cassette provided by the artist. The sound is truly superb. “Crazy S.” is not only a skilled recorder, he was at the forefront of the British music scene in the 1980s. He has participated in many showcases since his first visit to England and secret gigs where he hid his true identity, and the “Marquee Club” that was often used for these gigs was in his garden. While firmly recording the feeling of close contact of the club at zero distance, the sound is neat without being too loud, and the clear outline is extremely clear. The winning formula that has left behind numerous legendary recordings, including GUNS N’ ROSES, is fully demonstrated in this work. Of course, since it is direct from the original cassette, it is much more natural and beautiful than the master that has been distributed by trade. You can enjoy plenty of the neat sound of the ultimate generator. What is depicted with such a sound is the prototype of ASaP and the ultimate rare MAIDEN stage. The main set of the show will be performed as “THE WHOLE POPULATION OF HACKNEY”, but the highlights include Steve Harris, Dave Murray, and Bruce Dickinson. In other words, the IRON MAIDEN of that time will be in full force. Moreover, the songs played there are extremely rare. Let’s organize all the songs together with the main story “THE WHOLE POPULATION OF HACKNEY”. THE WHOLE POPULATION OF HACKNEY (11 songs) ・Songs released at MAIDEN: Juanita (MARSHALL FURY song) / Reach Out / That Girl (FM song) ・Songs re-recorded at ASaP: Silver and Gold / Fighting Man / School Days/When She’s Gone・URCHIN repertoire: See Me Through/My Lady・Others: Chevrolet (ZZ TOP cover)/Try IRON MAIDEN (4 songs)・Original: Losfer Words (Big Orra)/2 Minutes To Midnight・Others : Rosalie (Bob Seger cover)/Tush (ZZ TOP cover)… and so on. “THE WHOLE POPULATION OF HACKNEY” set consists of new songs and members’ own songs, including songs that can be heard on Maiden’s singles and numbers that were later released as ASaP (“Fighting Man”, “School Days”, “When She’s Gone”) The name of the song may be unfamiliar, but you can enjoy it (it was included in ASaP’s single). ASaP did not perform live, and PSYCHO MOTEL went on a different route after leaving Maiden, so this is the live album that is closest to ASaP. [Super rare live only once as MAIDEN] And the emergency MAIDEN stage at the end of the live is also super rare. After all, the only standard song is “2 Minutes To Midnight”, and the remaining three songs are all rare. ZZ TOP’s “Tush” has only been recorded three times, including this one, and Bob Seger’s (or rather, the THIN LIZZY version is the basis) “Rosalie” was never played at any IRON MAIDEN show. I haven’t. It is the ultimate rare performance only for this day, both later and later. This is a once-in-a-lifetime and extremely rare item. I had no idea that the live album, whose existence itself is legendary, was recorded by “Crazy S.”… This work is the ultimate live album uniquely digitized from such a one and only original cassette. Even in the MAIDEN collection, which has hundreds and thousands of pieces, this is a special piece that cannot be matched.
