The show in Udine, Italy on October 26th from the 1980 Euro Tour after the release of “NIGHT PASSAGE” while Jaco was still a member of the band was recorded in full for 2 hours and 33 minutes, with the latest digital remastering in 2025 on a recently discovered good audience master. First of all, all 8 songs from the album recorded in live format are played here, and in addition to them, the long live performance including the solo parts of each member is exactly what you would expect from this period. And although there are some changes in the arrangement and development from the album, the combination of the strongest rhythm section, Jaco and Peter Erskine, is still wonderful, and Erskine’s drums, which powerfully beat the 4-beat songs among the songs on the album, are particularly memorable. Jaco, who was busy recording his first solo album, “Word Of Mouth,” also delivered a string of superb playing at full throttle, and the percussion of R. Thomas Jr., who accompanied the band on tour, added a touch of glamour to the band’s sound, recreating a night as the Weather’s golden age was drawing to a close.
