Van Halen/US Tour 1981 Compile

From the 1981 US tour accompanying “Fair Warning”, three performances are compiled from high quality audience recording masters that have been released online in recent years. First, the second day of the tour, the performance in Providence on May 15th, is recorded in complete with amazing quality for the time. Dave also enthusiastically hyped up the audience, saying “Today is the first show of the tour in America!”, and since it was the beginning of the tour, the band’s tension was at its highest. In particular, the second half of the show features a 7-minute long Eruption followed by a rare cover of Lucile, which immediately transitions into You Really Got Me, which is quite unusual. Disc 3 also includes the performance in Cleveland on August 2nd. Although it is not complete because the first song and the first half of Runnin’ With The Devil are missing, this one is also of great quality and is a satisfying 70 minutes. And finally, the El Paso performance on October 7th. Although this performance is of lower quality than the previous two performances, there are many highlights, such as an interview with Alex on KLAQ FM radio in the intro and Summertime Blues in the middle of the performance.
