Description
TOTO’s 40th anniversary tour full of rare songs has been receiving rave reviews. A spectacular video that brings back memories of the wonderful performance in Japan is now available. This work was filmed at “July 4, 2019 Rome Performance”. It is a masterpiece audience shot that contains the whole story. TOTO performed in Japan at the beginning of this year, and Steve Lukather returned to Japan with RINGO STARR & HIS ALL-STARR BAND shortly after. Let’s take a look at TOTO’s current situation based on his busy schedule and check out the show’s position.・January 2nd – 13th: Oceania (8 performances) ・February 14th – 27th: Asia (9 performances)《March 21st – April 11th: Ringo and North America/Japan Tour》 ・June 13th Sunday – July 20th: Europe (27 performances) ←★Here★《August 1st – September 1st: North American tour with Ringo》・September 20th – October 20th: North America (21 performances) This is Lukather 2019 schedule. He came to Japan with TOTO in February, and returned to Japan as early as March. We are currently on a summer European tour, and in the fall we are planning to tour North America with TOTO/Ringo. Under such circumstances, the Rome performance of this work was a concert corresponding to the 15th performance of the “European” tour. This work that records such a show is a truly exquisite audience shot. The best thing about it is its visibility. I’m looking down diagonally from the second-floor seats on the left side of the stage (on the Lukather side), but the angle of the second-floor seats is so steep that the shadows of the front seats are barely visible. It is a spectacular shot where only the stage occupies a wide field of view, allowing you to completely immerse yourself in the show. In fact, since I was seated on the second floor, I felt a sense of distance, but this was offset by the performance of the digital equipment and the bold zoom. If you pull back as hard as you can, you can see all the members, but if you zoom in from there, the upper bodies of Lukather and Joseph Williams come close enough to fill the screen. What’s more, the image quality is beautiful even when zoomed in…or should I say (for some reason) it’s even more beautiful when zoomed in? The facial expressions of the members are not only clear, but also the carvings on their faces and dangling earrings are clear, and you can clearly make out every single guitar string. And stability is also a key point. In the first place, it is in a position where everyone can see the sights, so anyone can zoom in according to the highlight, and there is no need to swing left or right, just move closer, so there is no blurring or getting lost in the viewpoint. It’s very easy to see, and it shows exactly what you want to see. It is a video that is exactly like a sample of a scenic shot. Furthermore, the sound that is appropriate for the scene is also a key point. Although it cannot be said that the sense of distance is zero, the core that reaches straight through the clear air is powerful and the details are vivid. The unobstructed sight and sound are in crystal clear sync. The 40th anniversary tour, which you can experience in such a special seat, is exactly the same as you remember from the Japan performance. This tour has already been made into an official work as “40 TOURS AROUND THE SUN”, and the extremely rare songs have become less rare, but minor changes have been made since then. The new song “Devil’s Tower” takes the pole position, and “Home of the Brave” from “THE SEVENTH ONE” is placed in the finale. In the middle of the album, the famous song “I’ll Be Over You” is revived. These numbers could not be heard in “40 TOURS AROUND THE SUN” and are completely consistent with the previous Japanese performance. It is a new style of the 40th anniversary tour that continues today. The current “40 TRIPS AROUND THE SUN TOUR” has become even more complete, incorporating plenty of extremely rare songs from a long career. This is a spectacular video that allows you to fully enjoy the same full show as the set completed at the Japan performance from the special seats.
