Description

In 1966, the London performance performed by a quartet consisting of the best members that Roy Hayes participated in from the European tour was recorded with natural sound quality that was remastered in conjunction with the discovery of broadcast sound sources that did not feel degraded. This is a masterpiece that you can listen to live. The backing members are GARY BURTON (vib), STEVE SWALLOW (b), and ROY HAYNES (dr), and they give a cool performance. Of particular note is the play of young Gary Burton. The melancholy vibraphone tone of the 9th song, “The Sunset Del,” which features him, is captivating. Also, Getz’s tenor is very smart, and listening to his lyrical saxophone that shows his personality makes me feel at ease. After all, Getz is the best! ! This is a highly recommended gem that everyone who loves jazz should give a listen to. 1.Six Nix Quix Fliz(fade in) 2.Member Introduction 3.A Nighttingale Sang In Berkley Square 4.A Singing Song 5.O Grande Amor 6.When The World As Young 7.Jive Hoot 8.Scrapple From The Apple 9 .The Sunset Dell 10.Desafinado(fade out) STAN GETZ(ts)GARY BURTON(vib)STEVE SWALLOW(b)ROY HAYNES(dr)Stan Getz(ts) Gary Burton(vib) Steve Swallow(b) Roy・Haines (dr)
