Description
Formed by brothers Ron and Russell Mayle in the early 70s, the band initially released an album under the name Half Nelson. They then burst onto the UK rock scene with the hit “Kimono My House” in 1975, and after undergoing various changes, they overcame the heyday of New Wave in the 80s, becoming the darlings of London pop in the 70s. In the 2000s and after, “Hello Young Lovers” became their first hit in a long time in 2006, and with the release of “Exotic Creatures of the Deep” in 2008, a studio live performance held at the UK’s BBC on June 3rd and “From the Basement” the following year were compiled in master quality and soundboard sound sources. Here, they perform the single “Good Morning” and songs from the album. Incidentally, in May and June, they held a 21-night “Sparks Spectacular” in London, playing all the songs from their previous albums, one album per night in chronological order, proving that they are still active in a style that avoids pop conventions. 01.
