Description

A shocking professional shot video that will shock prog rock enthusiasts around the world! In 1976, when the final work “SOFTS” was released, the band included Percy Jones (!) of Brand This is a must-see video for fans that captures Soft Machine at a very valuable time with perfect multi-camera footage. I have heard that it was broadcast only once on the BBC in 1978, but the video quality is very good, and the sound is recorded with a perfect soundboard recording with almost no deterioration. Four songs from “SOFTS” are performed, and the advanced ensemble heard in each song is satisfying to listen to from beginning to end. In Ban-Ban Caliban, the original saxophone part is played on the violin. John Etheridge’s fast guitar play in the second half of The Tale Of Taliesin is a masterpiece, and you can see a close-up of his fingertips. In One Over The Eight, you can see John Marshall’s drum solo and Percy’s bass solo from the best angle. It seems that the broadcast source was a 30-minute program, and the recording time is short at 23 minutes, but the depth of the content more than makes up for it.
