Description
A newly excavated sound source that was completely recorded in good stereo audience recording from the 1985 live performance in Scandicci, Italy with new guitarist John Valentine Carrusas! The new Banjis, who welcomed new guitarist John Valentine Carrusas from the EP “THE THORN” released in 1984 after Robert Smith left the band, performed at the Sports Arena in Scandicci, Florence, Tuscany, Italy on July 22, 1985. The live performance was completely recorded in good stereo audience recording! It has been digitally transferred directly from the master cassette, and the range is wide, the vocals are large, and each part is well balanced. It is recorded with clear and good sound quality that is easy to listen to due to remastering. There is a gap due to a tape change at the ending of “This Unrest”, but the rest is recorded completely uncut. The set list featured five songs from their seventh album “Tinderbox,” which had not yet been released at this point, including the single “Candyman” to be released in February of the following year. As with “Tinderbox,” new guitarist John Valentine Carruthers played not only guitar but also keyboards, and the fast-paced rhythms of Budgie & Steven and the rare MC by Susie in Italian were also included! You can enjoy the superb live performance, which perfectly reproduces the sound of “Tinderbox,” which peaked at number 13 on the UK album chart, including two encores!
