Description
The concert held in Washington D.C. on July 10th from the 1982 North American tour was recorded in full for 2 hours and 2 minutes from the recently unearthed broadcast soundboard master. It is of such good quality that it is a wonder why it has not been distributed until now, and while there are many other audience sources for live recordings from this tour, the original soundboard master has also been digitally remastered to provide the best quality. At the time, they released the Grammy Award-winning “OFFRAMP” and “TRAVELS” in succession, and continued to be busy not only as a group but also as soloists and other units. The performance was mainly performed under the group name, including “Song For Bilbao,” and the wonderful performance was the same as in “TRAVELS.” The flowing phrases and rhythmic techniques fly around, and the way they overlap, sometimes beautifully and sometimes thrillingly, is unique to this ensemble. In any case, the fact that you can listen to the full live performance from this period, when there are few recordings, in this quality is a must-listen collector’s edition for fans.
