Nick Mason’s project “SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS” was announced in 2018 to play only early Floyd numbers, and as soon as it was announced, it caused a huge response from Floyd fans around the world. This title is a compilation of the memorable debut stage with sound and video. The sound source is a complete recording of the show at the club “DINGWALLS” in Camden, London on May 20th, which is the day, for 79 minutes with high quality audience recording. First of all, because it is a club gig with a capacity of 500 people, the sense of intimacy, the realism and power of the sound are incredible, and it is as if you fall into the illusion of being performed right in front of you. And the expected show by the five-member group was unexpected in its thoroughness and intensity, although it was known that early numbers would be played. It started with “Interstellar Overdrive”, followed by “Astronomy Domine”, which Gilmour also played solo, “Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun”, which Roger also covered, and even 60’s Floyd numbers such as “Lucifer Sam”, “Bike”, and “Let There Be More Light” were performed one after another. In addition to “The Piper at Dawn” and “Mystery”, early singles “Arnold Layne”, “See Emily Play”, “Point Me At The Sky”, “The Nile Song” and “Green Is The Colour” from “More” were also performed one after another. And even the latest one is “Obscured By Clouds/When You’re In” from “Shadow of the Clouds”, and there is no performance after “The Madness”. In addition, the coupling DVD includes audience footage that contains a digest of the day’s appearance. Although the recording is about 20 minutes long and far from complete, the video quality is excellent because it is a club gig, and the image quality is superb with a digital HD camera, and the video of “Obscured by Clouds” in particular seems like a live promo clip.
