Description
This band, led by Jack DeJohnette and John Scofield, continues to form the ongoing band “Hudson”, which features bold arrangements of non-jazz songs by talented members led by Herbie Hancock. The first live appearance of New Standards, a groundbreaking project of covers, is now in stock! ! ! This work is a must-listen album that records the live performance held in Atlanta on February 9th from the tour held in 1996 on the highest quality stereo sound board that has been carefully mastered by the label! ! ! The songs played are standards, including “New York Minute” by Don Henley of the Eagles, “Mercy Street” by former Genesis member Peter Gabriel, and “Thieves in the Temple” by Prince. It’s very typical of Herbie that he deliberately takes up popular music rather than the usual jazz, and of course, like Herbie, he is a seasoned member who has experience in music sessions of all genres, so this song is different from the usual covers. They are creating unique music that only they can express! Live at Atlanta,GA February.09.1996 EX-SBD 2019 Original Remaster 71min 1. My Minute 2. Mercy Street 3. Thieves in the Temple 4. Pride 5.
