This is a Genesis cover project by hidden guitar master Darryl Stuermer. Steve Hackett is also working on a similar project, but since he is a different type of guitarist, you can enjoy Genesis’ masterpieces from a different perspective. His playing style is more hard rock than Steve Hackett’s. Many fans may not be familiar with Darryl Stuermer as his individual activities are not that prominent, but he is the most important person who mainly supported Genesis during the Phil Collins era. Speaking of Genesis, many people think of Mike Rutherford as the guitar player, but Rutherford often also plays bass, and most of the guitar solos are by Darryl Stuermer. In the past, he has been active in the fusion world, even participating in Jean-Luc Ponty’s sessions. He has participated in Phil Collins’ solo projects every time, and you can see that he has tremendous trust in him. The vocalist singing here sounds just like Phil Collins. The sound quality is quite good even though it is an audience recording, and it is at a level that even non-maniacs can enjoy.
