Description
The two consecutive performances on April 5th and 6th in Texas, the final performance of the 2024 “Rough and Rowdy Ways” North American tour, were fully recorded and coupled from the digital audience master released by Taper. The live performance, which starts with “Watching The River Flow” and then “Most Likely You Go Your Way (And I’ll Go Mine)”, is reminiscent of the previous year’s performance in Japan and the subsequent European tour. While the basic structure is almost fixed, it is noteworthy that Jimmie Vaughan joined as a guest from the middle of the second day, and from “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight” onwards, he participated in most of the performances in place of the band’s guitarist Doug Rancio, and especially in covers of Jimmie Rodgers’ “Walking by Myself” and Johnny Cash’s “Big River”, he also played plenty of his own bluesy solos. The tour came to an end this April, and while we are curious about future developments, this is a performance that we hope will come to Japan again. DISC 1 : 01. Watching The River Flow/02.
