Description

“Unleash The Fury” started in May 2005 and became a long tour that continued until the Asia-Australia tour in November 2006, but this board is a complete recording of the Columbus, Ohio performance on May 18th, exactly one year after the start of the tour, with a superb level of ultra-high quality audience recording for about 1 hour and 55 minutes. It is a sound source that has not been available until now, and it is a really wonderful recording take that fans can’t help but get because of its content and sound quality. The sound quality is so great that it seems to be in a class of its own as an audience recording at a local venue in the United States, and the sound image is thick, clear, and stable, like a line recording, and the more you listen to it, the more surprised the listener will be. Not only is it clear, but it is also a first-class sound source that has enough of the stickiness and scale that are essential to this kind of music, and fans will be able to listen to it from start to finish without getting bored. The vocals are performed by former Rainbow member Dougie White, and on this day too, he will give a magnificent performance full of stability. Yngwie is in top form, and you can hear his amazing playing in every song. Derek Sherinian, formerly of the band, is on keyboards. The opening is Rising Force, and the second song is Demon Driver from “ECLIPSE” with great energy. It captures the hearts of the audience. Here, they perform three new songs in a row: Cracking The Whip, Crown Of Thorns, and Exile. (In Japan, Locked & Loaded and Revolution are performed as new songs here.) The long solo time in the first half, which connects from the guitar solo to Far Beyond The Sun? Star Spangled Banner, will greatly satisfy the fans. After switching to an acoustic guitar, they go to Paraphrase? Dreaming. Here, the familiar Rainbow cover The Gates Of Babylon explodes. After playing the new song Winds Of War (Invasion), they played a superb instrumental Baroque & Roll from their previous album “ATTACK!!”, then played I Am A Viking. After the show, Dougie said in an MC, “I was surprised because it wasn’t on the set list.” Disc 2 is a guitar solo time of nearly 20 minutes, with the familiar composition of a long solo including Trilogy Suite, Red House, and Fugue. You Don’t Remember, I’ll Never Forget, which incorporated Purple’s Demo’s Eye on the Japan tour, is composed of Burn. (Yngwie also seemed pleased with the audience’s reaction that day, and gave an energetic thank you MC after the song.) The encore is an acoustic solo, Black Star, and I’ll See The Light Tonight. There is a momentary gap at 4:18 of Guitar Solo (cont.) due to deterioration of the original tape, and a cut at 3:03 of Red House, but the rest is perfectly recorded. The multiple sound cuts in “You Don’t Remember, I’ll Never Forget” heard in the original sound have been repaired. You can enjoy a wide variety of sets with the highest sound quality, from old and new numbers to cover songs such as The Gates Of Babylon and Burn, as well as plenty of guitar solo time. This is an ultra-high quality album with superb sound quality and content, and can be recommended to fans of all levels.
