Yngwie Malmsteen Seventh Sign Demos & Rough Mix

This album contains a remastered version of the 1994 release of “THE SEVENTH SIGN” demo and rough mix. This is a sound source that has been circulated in the past, but the overall sound image has been properly corrected to the right, and the low volume has been recorded at an optimal volume. The song structure is almost complete, so it feels like a rough mix rather than an early demo. The contents include takes before guitar, keyboard, and effects are applied to the whole and layered. The degree of completion of the songs varies from song to song, but each song is more vivid, direct, and straight than the final version, and the raw sound image gives the impression of listening to a studio live performance, making it a high-quality collection of sound sources. Although Never Die has not yet been mixed, it is quite complete among this demo take collection, but the following Brothers and Meant To Be have not yet been layered with guitar, and are still quite rough, and the overall sound structure gives the impression of being simpler and straighter than the final version. Another feature of this rough mix version is that Yngwie’s bass sounds loud. Bad Blood is also fresh with a pretty raw sound image, starting with the rhythm section. The straight sound image of Seventh Sign before the thick guitar and keyboard decoration is so good that it seems better to listen to it normally. Hairtrigge does not have an official guitar intro. Since the sound is not thickly layered, it does not have the scale of the final version, but you can enjoy a more straight, vivid play and sound image as if you were listening to a live take. Even the grand and dynamic Forever One has a clean performance that seems to have been stripped of decoration, which is also attractive. Seven of the album’s 12 songs are recorded, and the recording time is short at just under 30 minutes, but it can be fully enjoyed as a diff version like the masterpiece “THE SEVENTH SIGN” (some songs have a straighter and more direct charm than the finished version).
