Description
Yngwie Malmsteen in 2021, who overcame the COVID-19 pandemic and restarted. This work is the second installment of the “Glenside performance on November 18, 2021” superb audience recording. Some people may think that this is the same day as ALCATRAZZ’s new work from this date, but of course it is a completely unrelated performance across the ocean. Anyway, this week Yngwie’s own new video “HOUSTON 2021” will also be released at the same time, so let’s first check the show’s position on the schedule. 2021, March 20: Las Vegas performance ・June 26: Serbia performance {“PARABELLUM” released on July 23} ・July 24-August 14: North America #1 (6 performances) ← *HOUSTON 2021, November 6-December 18: North America #2 (26 performances) ← ★ Here ★ 2022, March 11 + 13: UK (2 performances) This is the schedule that has been announced so far. Immediately after the release of the new work “PARABELLUM”, we did a mini tour “North America #1”, but there was a break of about two and a half months. Currently, we are conducting a more full-scale tour “North America #2”. While the simultaneously released “HOUSTON 2021” was the former, this work’s Glenside performance was the third concert of “North America #2”. This work recorded at such a show is truly an exquisite audience recording. After all, the person who handled it was “bcironmaiden”, a modern master and a hot topic. We are familiar with Billy Joel and Nick Mason in our shop, but as his handle name suggests, his main job (?) is metal. He is particularly known for his guitar sound, and is a master who beautifully records even the tightest and most delicate nuances by maximizing the performance of the famous “Schoeps MK4”. And this work is a masterpiece that further enhances his reputation. Not only is it tight, but it has a wonderful direct feeling with almost no hall noise, and Yngwie’s light-speed passages are beautiful down to the contours of each and every grain. No matter how the guitar explodes, you can get intoxicated with the rapid fire of the machine gun without mixing. Moreover, the PA was also extremely strong on this day. In fact, the scene in the front seats of the simultaneously released “HOUSTON 2021” was shocking, but the on-site PA was not working well. To be precise, the band as a whole was not bad, but Nick Marino’s vocal microphone was not working well. Although there were no problems with songs sung by Yngwie, such as “Like an Angel (For April),” “Rising Force” and “Seventh Sign” were in an instrumental state. However, there are no such problems in this work. The entanglement between Marino and Yngwie is also beautifully separated, and you can fully enjoy the original charm of the show. And, perhaps due to the good performance of such equipment, Yngwie, who is essential, is also burning with fire. Unfortunately, “Presto Vivace In C# Minor” was dropped from the set, but he played three new songs, “Relentless Fury,” “(Si Vis Pacem) Parabellum,” and “Wolves At The Door.” The momentum is not a blank due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but rather, it is so fierce that it seems to release all the accumulated stress at once. The new song “Presto Vivace in C# Minor” is also performed in the video work “HOUSTON 2021,” which allows you to experience the front row, and this work allows you to enjoy the full show with the best sound without any equipment troubles. Yngwie in 2021 has been producing a series of rare masterpieces in recent years, just after his restart. This is the finest audience recording of the “Glenside performance on November 18, 2021”. This is the latest work by the famous modern master “bcironmaiden”, and it is a tight and delicate recording that maximizes the performance of the famous “Schoeps MK4”. The direct feeling with almost no hall noise is wonderful, and Yngwie’s light-speed passages are beautiful down to the contours of each and every grain of the grain, making this a modern masterpiece recording. While performing the new songs “Relentless Fury”, “(Si Vis Pacem) Parabellum”, and “Wolves At The Door”, you can also experience the fierce playing that seems to release all the stress accumulated during the COVID-19 pandemic at once.
