Description

This is an extraordinary high quality album. What’s extraordinary is the guitar sound. This work was made by a man who has been making powerful recordings in Osaka in the 1990s. This week, SYKES’ masterpiece “OSAKA 1998” will be released at the same time, but this work is also a collection by the same recordist. This taper has a very realistic guitar sound. SYKES is also extraordinary, but you haven’t heard it yet. Some of the works that have been released include RAINBOW’s “OSAKA 1995 1ST NIGHT”, AC/DC’s “OSAKA 2001”, MEGADETH’s “OSAKA 2001”, RICHIE SAMBORA’s “UNDISCOVERED SOUL IN OSAKA”, IRON MAIDEN’s “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 2004”, and many other powerful recordings. If you have listened to even one of these, you will realize how amazing it is. What would happen if such a master of guitar recording recorded Yngwie Malmsteen? That is the true nature of this work. I forgot to write the basics of the basics because of the shocking sound. This work contains the performance of “December 13, 2002: IMP Hall”. It is a part of the “ATTACK!! TOUR” with Doogie White as the vocalist. Let’s check the schedule at that time. December 3rd: CLUB CITTA’ December 4th: Iwate Education Hall December 5th: Niigata Phase December 7th: SHIBUYA-AX December 8th: Akasaka BLITZ December 10th: Hiroshima CLUB QUATTRO December 12th: Fukuoka DRUM LOGOS December 13th: Osaka IMP Hall [This work] December 14th: Nagoya CLUB QUATTRO All 9 performances. Yngwie built an era in the 90s, but even in the 2000s, his schedule suggests that he remains popular. Now that we’ve reviewed the basics, let’s get back to the main topic. This work is definitely an audience recording, but the direct feeling is at a level where line recordings run away barefoot. I’ve been making a fuss about guitar guitar for a while now, but if the vocals are close to the do, the bass and drums are super direct. When Yngwie finishes playing, I notice the faint reverberation of the venue and think, “Oh, I guess it was the audience.” However, since Yngwie is someone who never finishes playing, there is almost no chance to notice it (laughs). It’s a live album of that dimension. It’s also good that the Doogie era is depicted with such a sound. Of course, if it were Mark Boals, there would be no need to say anything, but there are no official live albums from the Doogie era. You can experience it with the sound of the barefoot soundboard. In fact, Doogie also did a great job. It was surprising that the melancholic flavor disappeared in “Dreaming (Tell Me),” which seemed like a piece of cake, but he added a unique emotion to “You Don’t Remember, I’ll Never Forget,” which seemed impossible (sorry!), and sang “Hiroshima Mon Amour” with a passionate voice that tried hard to recreate Graham Bonnet. Of course, he also plays the songs from his new album “ATTACK!!” at the time, and “Burn,” which was his specialty in RAINBOW, is a piece of cake (Ritchie’s love seeps into his guitar tone: lol). Dougie’s ability is explosive, as he doesn’t complain even when Yngwie criticizes his former singer. Anyway, the real rapid-fire guitar explodes up close. When a master of guitar recording captures a guitar revolutionary, it becomes such an amazing album… this is physical evidence. This is a powerful album that should be listened to not only by fans of “21st century Yngwie,” but also by those who are picky about the guitar sound of audience recordings. Please enjoy the guitar paradise that can only be achieved through the customer record! Live at IMP Hall, Osaka, Japan 13th December 2002 TRULY PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1(54:35) 1.
