Description

Starting in June 1979, when the “Tormato Tour” that took almost a year was finally drawing to a close, a must-have 6-disc set of three excellent unbooted sound sources has been released. First of all, the first day of the New Haven performance on June 16th, recorded on discs 1 & 2. This is a very good recording take that is the highlight of this set. The musical tones are very close, and the overall sound is very powerful. The slightly audible hiss noise has been moderately removed so as not to affect the original sound. It has been finished as the best version that is easy to listen to. The missing part of the first part of the song “And You And I” has been connected and adjusted so that it can be heard naturally. Discs 3 & 4 include the first day of the Spectrum 3 Days in Philadelphia with a good audience recording. (The performance at the same venue the next day is famous as the official video) It is recorded from the opening, but the biggest drawback is that Siberian Khatru cuts out at 3 minutes and 52 seconds. Although the sound image is a little small, the sound quality itself gets better and better as the show progresses. Although it is a sound with a sense of distance, the freshness of the sound is definitely good, there is little hiss noise, and the high-frequency grain is good, so it is a sound that can be heard well once you get used to it. Arriving UFO (the third performance), which was first performed live in Springfield on the 18th, is also included. The good news is that from the 6th minute of And You And I, after a cut like a tape change, the sound quality improves dramatically. Although the hiss noise can be heard, the sound quality changes clearly anyway, and you can enjoy the second half of the show with better sound. After Awaken, Leaves Of Green, which was set in at this time like Arriving UFO, can be heard as a connection to the Tour Song. It is a valuable record of the time when the set changed at the end of the tour. The small sound is still the same, but the musical tones are firmly captured and you can enjoy it without stress. Discs 5 & 6 are high-quality and complete recordings of the Atlanta performance. This new sound source will surprise fans with its high sound quality, which is comparable to the New Haven performances on discs 1 and 2. The pitch, which was fast in the original sound, has been adjusted. The musical tones are surprisingly captured on the on-stage, and the overall response is perfect. This is a very good quality recording take that fans should definitely get. And You And I is dropped from the set, Arriving UFO is played, and Leaves Of Green is also included. The hiss noise has been reduced to the extent that it does not affect the original sound. Although it is a delicate sound image, the separation of the sound is excellent, and the sound quality is high enough that there is almost no sense of muffledness, so it is definitely a must-have for fans. This is a 6-disc set that compiles unreleased excellent live sound sources of Yes from June 1979, with a total recording time of 6 hours and 30 minutes, making it a must-have for fans.
