Description
From the US tour after the release of the third album “The Yes Album” in 1971, the final performance in New York and Port Chester on July 15th is almost completely recorded from the audience master, which was quite good at that time. This tour was the opening act for Grand Funk Railroad, so although it was a short set with a performance time of just under 50 minutes, all songs were taken from their third album. This is the final period of the group’s tenure, a period of rapid member change. From the opening song, “Thus Spoke Zarathustra,” to “Yours Is No Disgrace,” which started without any hesitation, the performance filled with youthful excitement continued until the end. Also, the speedy “I’ve Seen All Good People” has a groovy groove that cannot be heard in later live performances, and the way Bill’s attacking drums intertwine with Chris’ Ricken’s unique bass notes is amazing. Furthermore, Howe, who had just joined the group, gave a passionate performance of “The Clap” that lasted nearly 7 minutes, and at the end, The Young Rascals’ “It’s Love” was used as the ending. . A must-listen item to understand the early days of Jesus. 01. Introduction/02. Yours Is No Disgrace/03. I’ve Seen All Good People/04. Clap (incl. Classical Gas / Mood For A Day)/05.
