Description

This is a must-have title for fans, which is a complete recording of the Boston Garden performance on August 31st, the second day of the Boston performance, which is the third day of the 1978 “Tomato” tour, with a high-quality audience recording of the highest level for 2 hours and 6 minutes. This performance has already been released as “Releasing The Parallels” (HL), but the order of the songs was changed messily, the recording time was 93 minutes, 30 minutes shorter than the main board, and the sound quality was poor, so it was never satisfactory. As John MCs “Just One More Time In Boston” in the MC before Future Times, this is definitely the recording of this day, the sound quality is also of the highest level, and it can definitely be said to be the decisive board for the second day of the 1978 Boston performance. The sound is very close, the overall spread and separation are excellent, and the voices of the enthusiastic audience are well balanced, making it a model sound for audience recording in the 1970s. The punch of the sound is also wonderful, and the groove and energy of the band are directly transmitted. Even now, it is a really good recording and the performance is also great! It seems that they made solid preparations before the tour started, and it is really surprising that they performed so well at the beginning of the tour. This recording is from the beginning of the tour, and the selling point is that you can listen to the rare songs Release, Release and Parallels (as the HL version is also titled). The former is a rare take that has not been played since Springfield on September 2nd (only played six times). The latter is also a rare take that has not been played since the New York MSG performance on the 8th day of the tour. (It may have been decided that it was okay to drop it because there was Awaken from the previous work “Ultimate”.) There is a scene where the sound of the keyboard suddenly disappears during Siberian Kahtru’s keyboard solo, which is nerve-wracking, but the show is generally a great performance and you can enjoy the vocals. In the latter half of the Siberian Kahtru, the guitar solo is so powerful that the audience roars in excitement. All the sounds are recorded clearly, but the drums in particular have a vivid sound, making for a truly “get-in-the-dance” performance. This is a superb piece in terms of performance content and sound quality. Live at Boston Garden, Boston, MA. USA 31st August 1978 TRULY AMAZING SOUND Disc 1(62:07) 1. Close Encounters Intro 2.
