Description
From the 1980 “LOVEHUNTER” tour that first came to Japan, the live performance at Osaka Festival Hall on April 18th is almost completely recorded in the best quality, digitally remastered to the original audience master. The fact that there are three former members of Purple made it a hot topic, and even though this was their first visit to Japan, eight performances were booked across the country from April 11th to April 21st. This work is the final stage of that work, and the pattern is not only covered by Coverdale’s vocals and the twin leads of Bernie Marsden and Mickey Moody, but also John’s keyboard, and the rhythm woven by Pace and Neil Murray. Separated, the outline of the entire band/ensemble is recorded in a sound that is easy to hear. And the opening of the set, the medley performance of Come On ~ You ‘N’ Me is unique to this period. Furthermore, the arrangement of Ain’t No Love In The Heart Of The City, which appears early in the fourth song, and Love Hunter from Mickey Moody’s long solo is also fresh. Also, the nearly 12-minute Mistreated is the biggest highlight, played with an original arrangement, followed by a nearly 10-minute medley of Jon Lord’s solo, Belgian Tom’s Hat Trick, Purple, in which Barney and Mickey’s guitars explode.・The second half, where the numbers Might Just Take Your Life, Lie Down and Take Me With You, and the classic take Rock Me Baby, Breakdown and the early mature old numbers come out one after another, is truly a masterpiece.
