Description
WHITESNAKE is eagerly awaiting the release of their new album “FLESH AND BLOOD,” which David Coverdale himself calls “their masterpiece.” Unfortunately, the new album was postponed for more than half a year until early 2019, but they have started a tour as a support for FOREIGNER’s “JUKE BOX HEROES TOUR 2018.” The best video of the latest live performance has arrived! This work contains the “Saratoga Springs performance on June 16, 2018.” Currently, 32 performances have been announced for FOREIGNER’s support from June 15 to August 11, all in North America. The Saratoga Springs performance in this work was the second concert, which was just after the start of the concert. The quality of this work is truly an exquisite audience shot. It is shot at an oblique angle from the first floor seats on the left side of the stage (Joel Hoekstra side), but for some reason the viewpoint is high. It is a spectacular view that passes over the heads of the audience in the arena seats and allows you to look directly at the stage with zero obstructions. The zoom is amazing. If you pull back as much as you can, it seems like there’s a fair distance, but the bold zoom from there gives you plenty of close-ups of facial expressions. Moreover, the power of the latest equipment explodes, and the wrinkles around Coverdale’s eyes and the wood grain of Reb Beach’s guitar with its peeling paint are so clear that you can clearly see them. In addition, the camera work is free. Just that much zoom captures Coverdale’s microphone handling, and then the full view of the pull draws the scale of the singalong that involves the venue. Furthermore, in the guitar solos of each song, the camera work zooms in on the two of them individually and accurately captures them. Moreover, despite being so active, it’s unusually easy to see. Apparently they don’t use a tripod, so it’s probably the power of the image stabilization function, but it’s still amazing. Even with a quick zoom, the sense of stability is unshakable and amazing. The show depicted with that quality is a concentrated set that can be called the ultimate. The repertoire is only “SLIDE IT IN” and “SERPENS ALBUS”. Counting “Bad Boys” including “Children Of The Night” as one song, there are three songs from “SLIDE IT IN” and six from “SERPENS ALBUS”. There is no “Fool for Your Loving” or “Ain’t No Love in the Heart of the City”, and only the best songs are played. This is the first time that they have been so thoroughly concentrated since supporting MOTREY CRUE, which took place immediately after the release of “SERPENS ALBUS”. Although the time they have is limited only for the opening act, it is a refreshing set. And the performance is as rich and bold as the set. Since it is the second performance, I thought the ensemble was not well-trained, but it is perfect for the standard songs. Of course, there is no way they are tired of the tour, and it is a show in top form that runs through the short set in one go. It is a great performance that is reminiscent of the era of the best work “SERPENS ALBUS”. Although musicians’ words are often taken with a pinch of salt, Coverdale’s “new work is their best work” may be true… WHITESNAKE shows off their incredible band potential, which even makes you think so. It’s a powerful video work that will make you not only wait for next year, but also can’t wait. Live at Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Saratoga Springs, NY. USA 16th June 2018 AMAZING SHOT!!!
