Description

The representative video of the peak “SERPENS ALBUS” tour is now available as an upgraded version. This work includes “August 3, 1988 Buffalo Performance”. This is a classic classic audience shot that has been well known since VHS. The video itself is famous, but this quality is not. First of all, the visual beauty at first glance is completely different. At our store, we have introduced masters suitable for the DVD era such as “NIGHTS IN BUFFALO”, but the graininess of the screen was still unavoidable. However, the masters that have recently appeared have no graininess at all, and are extremely glossy. Of course, there is no tape twisting, no white line noise, and the colors are vivid. The video that reigns at the top of this tour is “WEMBLEY ARENA 1987”, which was also made into a press DVD, but this work is even comparable to that transcendental video. It is a tremendous visual beauty that clearly shows that it is a master master. You will be captivated by the superb image quality, but the greatness of this work goes beyond that. It’s an overwhelming sense of stability. Since it was set in the 1980s, camera shake is unavoidable, but in this film there is no “shake” at all, and the beautiful images scroll smoothly and neatly. In fact, this was not achieved through photography, but through digital processing. The viewpoint was fixed at the center of the original video, which was a little shaky, and the surrounding parts were cut to stabilize it. Its ferocity can be seen at a glance by looking at the date ticker that is displayed from time to time. The date is vibrating violently in the corner of the screen, even though the viewpoint is stable. Of course, only the central part of the screen is enlarged, but this is a famous video that has been a standard for many years, so it can withstand that. What is depicted in such an extremely stable and high-quality video is the brave figure of WHITESNAKE, who has captured the entire world in his hands. There is no “(Ain’t No Love) In The Heart Of The City” only in the American performance, but it is thoroughly specialized in two pieces, “SLIDE IT IN” and “SERPENS ALBUS”. It is a show that shines with a metallic luster, without playing any classic snake, and solidified with the best songs of 5 songs from both works (6 songs if you include “Children Of The Night” incorporated in the medley). Moreover, the performance is also dazzling. Here, let’s check the position of the Buffalo performance from the tour overview. ・June 20, 1987 – September 8, 1987: North America #1 (55 performances) ・September 19, 1987 – December 3, 1987: North America #2 (52 performances) ・December 29, 1987 – 1988 January 8th: UK (9 performances) ) ・January 22, 1988 – April 7, 1988: North America #3 (49 performances) ・June 11 – 22, 1988: Japan (8 performances) ・June 25, 1988 – August 15, 1988: North America #4 (35 performances) ←★Here★ This is a tour from the “SERPENS ALBUS” era, totaling 208 performances. This tour started as the opening act for MOTLEY CRUE, but due to the album’s continued sales, they were promoted to the headliner even though they were still on tour. This work is the climax of “North America #4”, and it is also the final stage of the 9th performance from the end. For that reason, the confidence and sense of fulfillment exuded from this work is exceptional even among highly successful tours. It’s a show where the “power of the goddess’s smile” is fully unleashed, making everything you do go well. This is the golden age, the heyday, the peak. It’s almost 30 years since this work was released, but it’s because of this brilliance that WHITESNAKE can still continue to excite the world. That huge success spreads across the screen. What is success in rock music, and how brilliant are the musicians who have reached that level? A masterpiece video that explains this more eloquently than a hundred words.
