Description

We have prepared a live album of the “London performance on March 3, 1984”. Broadcast sound source of “6 people”. Many people may think, “Isn’t it a line recording for broadcast?”, but it is not so simple. Indeed, it was once traded as a “sound board”, but in fact it was recorded by a broadcasting station with a microphone. Strictly speaking, it is not a sound board. However, as the fact that it was broadcast on radio (DJ is also included in “We Wish You Well”) proves, the sound quality is really really great. After all, it is not the general public who are recording, but the broadcasting staff who have obtained permission. There is no need to take a position in an ideal location and hide the microphone or equipment. Furthermore, professional ambient microphones are available for unlimited use, so it is recorded to be the best recording. In other words, it is a “professional audience recording”. (As an aside, the 2CD “SHARWOOD LEGEND” which recorded the Nottingham performance is a super audience that reached a height that even this luxurious work could not achieve. It’s a real miracle. If you want to experience the pinnacle of what audience recordings in the 1980s could achieve, be sure to check it out!) High quality recordings such as “RIGHT TO THE TOP” have been bootlegged for a long time, but the one that reigned as the definitive version for many years was “BAND OF GYPSIES” from the Langley era. This work is a remaster of that master with modern technology. In fact, Coverdale’s vocals that resonate directly even to the breath, the spectacle of the drum solo that seems to want to prove the rich bass, the Sykes solo of “Don’t Break My Heart Again” that sweeps the Wembley venue… “Ain’t No Love In The Heart Of City” is so moving that even the staff can’t help but sing, and it makes you think, “That’s right, it was a microphone recording.” “Slow An’ Easy”, “Slide It In”, “Need Your Love So Bad”, “Don’t Break My Heart Again” … as well as Jon Lord and Cozy Powell’s solo time, “We Wish You Well” are fully recorded. This is a masterpiece that allows you to enjoy the flavor unique to the full show with a “professional audience recording”.
