Description
The release of a masterpiece pro shot that was by far the most popular in our shop has been decided. This work contains the “March 19, 1983 Ludwigshafen performance (West Germany)”. This is a pro shot video of the smash hit “LIVE… IN THE WEST OF THE RHINE”. “LIVE… IN THE WEST OF THE RHINE”, which has already sold out for a long time, was a three-disc set of the finest stereo sound board and pro shots, but this work is a DVD of only the pro shot DVD. The WHITESNAKE shown in this work is from the time of Cozy Powell / Mel Galley / Colin Hodgkinson. It is a part of the “SAINTS & SINNERS TOUR” and a concert on the eve of the production of the masterpiece “SLIDE IT IN (UK MIX)”. In this era, there is the official video “WHITESNAKE LIVE!” from the appearance of “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1983”, but this West German performance was highly praised by enthusiasts around the world for its recording time and performance, which was “More than MONSTERS OF ROCK!” The pattern was broadcast on both television and radio, and is a major staple in the history of WHITESNAKE, which has produced various bootlegs for many years. Gene’s young must-haves have been unearthed in various eras, but the super-decisive version that reigned as the pinnacle and has not yet been surpassed was “LIVE… IN THE WEST OF THE RHINE” (the title “West Bank of the Rhine” refers to Ludwigshafen). The distortion-free professional shot image beauty was also shocking, but the reason this work does not give up the throne of “King of WHITESNAKE Boot” is the sound. I wrote earlier that “it was also broadcast on the radio”, but the sound was different between television and radio. “Television broadcast = mono” and “radio = stereo” broadcast. This work uses the master from the broadcast master for its stereo broadcast, achieving the best sound in bootleg history. It is synchronized with the best TV images in existence. In other words, you can enjoy the super-beautiful sound of stereo that you can’t experience not only in many of the same live titles, but also in the main TV broadcast! However, no matter how high the quality, it is meaningless if the live itself is bad. In that respect, this work is worthy of the name “King of WHITESNAKE Bootlegs”. At that time, WHITESNAKE had finished their tour and went to Germany to produce the masterpiece “SLIDE IT IN (UK MIX)”. Just before they were about to make a masterpiece, they performed this special live at the request of a TV station. During the production of “SLIDE IT IN (UK MIX)”, a dissonance was born within the band, but there is no sign of it yet in this work. The combination of the band cultivated in the long “SAINTS & SINNERS TOUR”, the passion and potential to create a masterpiece are deliciously packed. Even more intense is Cozy Powell! This work is also a super rare one in which his drum solo can be seen in a perfect multi-camera professional shot. Of course, there are professional shots such as RAINBOW’s Munich and WHITESNAKE’s Super Rock ’84, but those are only “1812” or used the theme of “MARS”. What you can see in this work is the most luxurious version of his career, the “633 Cavalry + 1812” version, which is the complete version of the big spectacular version that lasts for 9 and a half minutes! When appearing in “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1983”, he performed the ultimate performance that flew a helicopter, but unfortunately the remaining footage is dark and difficult to understand. There is no doubt that this work is the best video. In general, this lineup is often thought of as a transitional period, and the Japanese performance (despite the wonderful performance) has a strange PA balance, so the image is somehow ambiguous. On the other hand, it is recognized as a “period” by collectors around the world. This difference in recognition may be the difference between whether or not you experienced the real ability as seen in this work. This album conveys their best performance in the highest quality ever. We hope that as many people as possible will experience this overwhelming live performance.
