Description
This is a live soundboard recording of Weather Report’s 1973 Chicago concert. It’s not particularly wide-ranging, and while it’s not ultra-high quality, it’s still a good enough recording. Vitous does his best, albeit unfamiliar, on “Boogie-Woogie Waltz,” the funk number that Zawinul dreamed of. The rhythm section, consisting of Vitous, Eric Gravatt, and Don Un Roman, is the same lineup as on their 1972 Japan tour. Recorded Live at University Of Illinois, Chicago, IL, May 19, 1973 EXCELLENT Soundboard Recording // 58 min 1. Band Introductions – Warming Up 2. VERTICAL INVADER 3. 125TH STREET CONGRESS 4.
