Description
Weather Report was formed by Shorter, who left Miles Davis’ band, along with Joe Zawinul and Miroslav Vitous. The first day of the tour to promote their first album, Weather Report, was recorded in Ossiach, Austria, and a definitive version was released with a 24-bit remaster by a famous international remastering craftsman, removing noise and reborn with official sound quality. The live performance, which combines the strong personalities of Shorter, Zawinul, and Vitous, is overwhelmingly powerful. In addition, the live performance, which places more importance on improvisation than on a set concept, allows you to experience their unique existence once again. In the pastoral songs Morning Lake and Waterfall, the sharp solo parts shine even in the beautiful melodies. It was released by Mega Disk about 20 years ago, but the master was a cassette tape that had been dubbed over and over, so it lacked stereo feeling and had a harsh hiss noise throughout. The title we are introducing this time uses a sound source that is closer to the master, polished by a famous overseas remaster craftsman, and is recorded with a sound image that is truly worthy of the official name. Disc 2 contains a studio live performance in Hamburg, which is also a restored and recorded sound source that was previously released, so there is no problem even if you listen to it at a high volume. Please listen carefully to the overwhelming performance of the early Weather!
