The Ventures, the supreme instrumental band that enjoys immense popularity in Japan, have released three live compilations held at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, California in June and October 1987, and January 1989. The three performances are fully recorded on a six-disc set with superb stereo soundboard recordings by the familiar members of the founding members Don Wilson and Bob Bogle, third drummer Mel Taylor who joined in the 60s, and third lead guitarist Jerry McGee.
